Pair of (same mould) Stefan Dakon Spelter ladies

A very rare model by Stefan Dakon of 2 bowing ladies both from the same mould. The skirt is replaced by the fan and vice versa. I have never seen the pair together for sale and they are very rare indeed! This is a great price for 2 stunning figures from the sculptor who worked with Josef Lorenzl for many years. 1920's Bronze Dish lady by Josef Lorenzl

A lovely nude mounted on a green onyx and holding an onyx cup. The lady retains some silvering and measures 9 inches high and the base measures 10 inches wide. This piece is unsigned, but undoubtedly by Lorenzl, and is in excellent condition. It has some minor ageing to the patina and a couple of small nicks to the edges of the onyx.

1930's Amazonian Warrior by Pierre Le Faguays

This is a stunning dark green nude with sword and shield by the famous Pierre Le Faguays and signed to the marble base. She measures a total height of 22 inches (56cm), including the verdegre marble base. She looks absolutely stunning from all angles and would benefit from a mirror behind her to show this. She is also in extremely good condition.

1925 Garland Dancer by Joe Descomps

A gilt and cold painted bronze figure, modelled as a female nude holding an arched garland over her head and with flowers in her hair and signed in the maquette Joe Descomps. The total height is 11 inches (29cm). The condition of this substantial Bronze is very good with some expected minor wear to the patina.

1930's Scarf Dancer by Josef Lorenzl

This is a highly desirable nude bronze dancer measuring 8 inches (20cm) high and mounted on a green onyx base. It is signed to the metal socle Lorenzl and it is in very good condition with some minor age wear to the patina. Josef Lorenzl is undoubtedly one, if not the most popular sculptor for Art Deco enthusiasts.

1930's Dish Dancer by Stefan Dakon

A wonderful bronze nude dancer by Stefan Dakon, and signed in the bronze. She stands on a circular stepped Brazilian onyx base and holds aloft an onyx dish. The total height is 8 inches (21cm). The condition is very good with just a little expected ageing to the patina. Dakon worked closely with Lorenzl.

1920's Message of Love by Pierre Le Faguays

This is a superb Pierre Le Faguays and can also be viewed in the Catley (on page 194). It is a green patinated bronze nude and measures 18 inches (46cm) total height and signed to the top of the marble base. The condition very good. However, the bottom plinth of the base has been historically repaired as a small fissure runs around 1 corner of the base.

1930's Bronze Cymbal Dancer by Lorenzl

An unusual tall silvered bronze lady dancing with cymbals on a Brazilian onyx base. She measures 9 inches (23cm) high including the base and is signed Lorenzl on the bronze socle. The condition is good with a little minor aging to the patina as one would expect. This is not a typical Lorenzl piece and is a very collectable and valuable statue on a nicely balanced base.

1920's Large Dianne by Pierre Le Faguays

This piece is the larger version of the famous Diana The Huntress statue and measures 26 inches high and has a green patina and her original bow. She is in excellent original condition. This is a truly classical Art Deco sculpture and sits firmly on a spectacular base. A really stunning and highly prominent statue.

Dianna The Huntress by Jaume Sabates Gual

A very lovely green patinated Bronze Dianna the Huntress. Mounted on a pale green onyx and rare Portorro marble base measuring 14 x 5 inches (37 x 13cm) and signed in the marble and bronze at the back. Total height is 10 inches (26cm) and condition is extremely good. Jaume Sabates Gual was an associate of Picasso.

1920's Bronze Nude by Hans Keck

A beautiful nude bronze with sword and jewellery box by her feet. Signed to the bronze base and mounted on a oval cream onyx base. This superb statue measures 8.5 inches (20.5cm) high and is in very good original condition with just a slight kink to her (removable) sword, which can easily be straightened. This statue is real quality, which rarely comes up for sale.

1920's Lady Piper by Gustave Orbiols

This one is a real stunner; she is a large bronze Pannette measuring approx 16 inches wide on the base, and 17 inches tall. She is a signed piece by Gustave Orbiols, and was made by the Societe des bronzes de Paris Foundry. Gustave Orbiols worked 1890-1920s. This piece is viewable in the Berman Book of Bronzes volume 4, page 953.

Bat Dancer by Franz Iffland

A wonderful 240mm high Bronze standing on a nice green marble base with black marble band separating the 2 sections of green marble. Signed F.Iffland, she is in excellent condition with no damage at all to statue, base or finger tips, which is a common fault on many statues. This is a very rare statue indeed and a stunning Art Deco display piece.
